- This book is divided into three main sections. The first gives genealogical
- data about members of the family, the second section provides family group
- sheets for all family groups that include at least one child, and the third
- section consists of biographical sketches of each family member which
- chronologically tell the story of the family.
-
- Each person is identified by a unique number. This number is used to dis-
- tinguish between family members that may have the same name.
-
- The vital statistics about each person appear in Sections 1 and 2. Included
- here will be the dates of birth and death, the places of those events and
- the dates and places for marriages, as well as information about the
- person's spouse(s) and children.
-
- The family trees, with up to four generations of ancestors and descendants
- of each person, are also included in section 1. These trees could be com-
- bined to form a complete family genealogy that could (theoretically) extend
- forever!
-
- The biographies are freeform in nature and serve to establish more back-
- ground about the individual than could be provided by pure statistics.
-
- Located in the appendices in the back is information that is useful for
- extending the family history.
-
- ~UAppendix A~u summarizes all of the names that appear in the book along
- with their reference numbers.
-
- ~UAppendix B~u lists information that should have been included but is
- presently unknown. By researching further it may be possible to fill in the
- missing data and extend the genealogy even farther.
-
- ~UAppendix C~u will provide a sorted list of miscellaneous information in-
- cluding causes of death, occupations, and church affiliations.
-
- ~UAppendix D~u prints a family "time line" listing the dates of birth,
- death and marriages for the entire family in chronological order.
